Wednesday May 18th marks 15 years since we opened the doors to Hartley People Recruitment & Training on Custom House Quay here in Waterford city. Now based at 29 Manor St, we currently employ 25 people on site with in excess of 425 temporary staff working in companies throughout the South East and an average of 20 courses running each day nationally in partnership with Education and Training Boards.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our candidates and clients for their support over the past 15 years and look forward to working together far into the future. It only seems like yesterday that we opened here in Waterford city. We are very proud of the fact that we never gave up on Waterford and the South East throughout the difficult recessionary years. The recruitment world is a very different place now than it was when we started back in 2001 and we’re constantly learning and adapting to the latest recruitment trends.

With our considerable experience and knowledge of Waterford and the South East we have now embarked on a new venture to grow our existing business in Dublin and nationally. Our new Dublin office – HP|Konnect – based in Dublin 2, is in the heart of Silicone Docks among exciting tech start-ups and companies such as Facebook, Google, LinkedIN and Twitter. Ireland is at the brink of a new “industrial revolution” powered by the Internet of Things (IoT) and HP|konnect is leading the way by being the “konnectors of opportunity” throughout Ireland and beyond. With over 5 years international Recruitment experience in IT and Senior Executive Recruitment, Managing Director Charlene Heaney will head up the Dublin office. The recovery is continuing at pace and our vacancies have tripled since the lowest point of the recession. After 15 years in business we felt this was the right time to expand into the Dublin market with a particular emphasis on tech related jobs to reflect the job growth nationally in this area

Our training division has also experienced significant growth since 2006 and annually delivers in excess of 7,500 days of training nationally. Our QQI courses cover a broad range of
subject matter areas however 2016 will see a specific focus on Compliance and Healthcare training in line with the growth of Clannad Care – Hartley People’s sister company – providers of homecare staffing solutions for the HSE and private clients who care for loved ones in their homes.
