Description : Our client, a leading multi-national manufacturing company, currently have a vacancy for a Senior Global Commodity Manager based in the Waterford or Dublins areas but with global responsibility. Remuneration: This is a senior position and remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Contact: Hartley People Recruitment (Fergal Hartley) This role would be located in Dublin or Waterford, Ireland and will report to the Global Sourcing Strategic Sourcing Commodity Manager. This position will focus on managing the contract manufacturing supply chain globally for PCBAs and integrated box build solutions. The ideal candidate will have: - A successful track record of working directly with contract manufacturing management at all levels,
- Managed contract manufacturers in a variety of market situations including shortage and allocation markets, experience driving supply solutions and managing through the contract manufacturers up the supply chain,
- A solid understanding of electronic component suppliers and markets,
- Experience driving advanced supply solutions into the contract manufacturers,
- Experience project managing transitions from one supplier to another or outsourcing,
- Experience with box build integrated solutions.
This role will: - Support development and implementation of the sourcing strategies to achieve lowest total costs,
- Improve working capital,
- Drive effective asset management,
- Achieve quality improvement, ensure on-time delivery,
- Improve cycle time,
- Perform early supplier involvement in product development.
- Focus on driving supplier performance globally.
