A full and comprehensive programme of ten dedicated one-to-one consultations that includes a range of additional outplacement services as detailed below. As required, the programme can offer as much time as required by the individual to ensure a smooth transition to new employment and/or a new career.
This service will help to clearly identify the career objectives of the individual and will thereafter help him/her to implement a practical plan for achievement of same.
This service will help participants to “package” their skills in the most saleable and advantageous format possible. We will identify the full range of transferable work and life skills that have been acquired by the individual that could be of benefit to a potential employer.
Hartley People will develop an executive C.V. / Resume for the participant that will create a positive impression and best represent the particiant to ensure best results..
Hartley People will help participants to construct professional cover letters that will complement their C.V. ‘s and create that critical positive first impression. We will also assist participants to write appropriate e-mail cover notes when sending an application electronically or applying on-line.
The interview is arguably the most critical part of the recruitment process even-though it is a largely unreliable selection tool. Hartley People will assist participants to present themselves in the most positive way thereby ensuring that they create a lasting and favourable impression.
This service will help participants in their journey to new employment, showing them how and where to search for vacancies and when to follow up on applications. We will also provide participants with the skills to search for vacancies on the internet.
All participants on our outplacement programmes will be automatically registered on our recruitment database and will be considered for positions for which they are deemed suitable by our recruitment consultants. This is a critical service to participants as we continue to work closely with them after the outplacement programme has been completed.
Hartley People can work on an individual basis with participants to assist them in a practical and ‘hands-on’ way to secure new employment. This service includes investigating job leads, working through applications, focussing C.V.’s for the vacant position and researching for interviews etc. We can also specifically address any other area’s where the applicant may need extra assistance throughout the job searching process.
This can be a stressful, uncertain and insecure time for participants and the services of a professional counsellor may be required to ensure that the participant can turn negative feelings into positive energy which will be required to ensure that alternative employment is secured and personal goals are achieved.
Having identified the personal and work related objectives of the participant and thereafter charting a career path plan, Hartley People can also identify the training needs of the individual that will have to be addressed in order to achieve these objectives.
Hartley People will offer participants advice on pensions, savings and investments from a qualified Financial Consultant. This will be of particular interest at a time when there may be financial concerns for the participant and his/her family.
Participants may require the use of many office accessories such as a computer, printer, fax, telephone and/or photocopier during this time. All of these facilities, plus secretarial support can be made available to the participant to assist them in their search for new employment.
